2 weeks post op
Wow, 20, thats pretty crazy. I lost 19 and thought I was kind of a freak case since so many people say they actually gain weight. Congrats on a great start :). No matter what part of the weight loss cycle you are on, make sure and drink fluids as much as possible. This is no exaggeration, if I have a day or two where I dont hit 100oz of fluid (mainly water but also protein drinks, lifewater, etc) I start getting light headed when I pick up my toddler son or if I just stand up to fast. You are going to have days that are hard, thats a guarantee, but just remember the mantra its a marathon, not a sprint. So far, you're a freaking Prefontaine, keep it up. If you dont know who Steve Prefontaine is, look him up. I live in his old hometown.
Congrats! I was so tired of liquids by the end of the liquid diet :P

I'd say that's pretty outstanding weight loss in the first week. Wow! I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and I've lost a total of 11 lbs since day of surgery for a total of 18 lbs including pre op. I am still on liquids including pudding, custard, yogurt and protein shakes because that's all I can tolerate. My tummy dictates that I take it slow and easy and believe me my tummy is in control!
