What is your opinion on popcorn?  To eat or not to eat? :0) Does anyone have trouble if they eat it?

Officially, it's a complex carb - but still higher on the glycemic index than most, so something to keep in mind.  It's also a good source of fiber - but still a carb to be mindful of.  I enjoy popcorn pretty frequently, but it wasn't as comfortable to eat the first year or so.

I have not eaten it during weight loss because I've heard it can be a slider food and it's not protein heavy.  However, I don't think it's something I'll eliminate for life.  Once I've gotten maintenance under control I will probably try it.  I like the fiber content and the low cal snackability.  However, if I find it's something that triggers an out of control feeling I'll leave it alone.  I think it's a pretty individual thing but personally, it's not the worst snack I can think of.  :-)

My team said it's fine to eat, but I was told to stay away from it until 6 months. I do plan on eating it once I hit 6 months.

It's certainly not the healthiest choice you could make, and it's pretty easy to over-indulge. But if you can moderate and just have it occasionally, go for it.

Trader Joes has a really good light kettle corn popcorn that is sweet and salty and yummy.  It is lo cal and carbs aren't too bad especially if you break it up into 4  servings.  I LOVE it and it gets me thru rough times when I am craving something I shouldn't have. It has 110 calories and 2 g protein and 19  carbs for bag and I eat 1/4 a bag a day.  Unfortunately I have no trouble eating it.

Can eat, don't recommend it.  It will stall your weight loss if eaten regularly.

I had a handful of my mom's popcorn about an hour ago. No problems so far :)

I love love love love popcorn...  Did I mention how much I love it?  Lol. I eat the snack size bag that are 100 calories. I don't have it everyday but I do at least once a week. It feels fine. I don't feel like it's a slider for for me.  I eat it slow and sometimes can't even finish the small snack size bag. I usually share it with the hubby
