Slowing down eating
Hi
i am having trouble remembering to slow down when I'm eating. I have always been a very fast eater. Even now with a very small portion I eat too fast and my stomach feels. I can recognize when I've eaten too fast but by then it's too late. Any advice on how long it should take to eat a 1/2 cup of food? How long do you wait between bites? I'm having this trouble with water too. I am 24 days out of surgery
I was using an app on my phone and tablet called eat slower. I set it for 30 seconds. The screen says "Bite" and a bell rings, it counts down and dings every 30 seconds.

I try to cut my foods into the smallest little pieces. I put my fork down after every bite so I remember not to shovel the food in like I used to. I also have the problem with water and I actually threw up the other day from drinking it too fast. Putting my fork or spoon down after every bite reminds me that I shouldn't shovel it all in. Best of luck!
