Sleeved yesterday and having trouble with chest pressure

Yesterday morning I received my sleeve and got though the surgery pretty well but this morning when I woke up I had this terrible pressure at the center of my chest. The nurse and doctor told me it was from the CO2 that they use but it feels like someone is sitting on my. Walking helps a little and it's still there. Has anyone else had any problems like this?

Sounds like gas pain(from inflation with CO2), especially if there is some relief with walking. Keep walking/shifting positions, take some gas-ex. Gas pain is completely normal. If your still worried continue to voice your concerns with you doc/nurse.

I was sleeved 4 days ago. The pain in my chest and left shoulder were pretty intense for the first few days. Today is much better. Walking helped me the most.

  1. Did you also have a hiatial hernia repair? I woke up from anesthesia holding my chest and was in pain from it for days.  It was about 10x worse than the sleeve pain. Hope it resolves quickly for you!

Try to belch.  I had the same feeling. Its just gas. Keep moving, burping and try to pass gas.
