Hello, I thought I may have heard that some doctors recommend you stay off two weeks after the sleeve, for those who have had it how long did you stay off of work.

14 days exactly. I had no issues, but I did have my students do any kind of lifting for a bit.

I had planned to go back at two weeks and believe I could have as I have a job that is not physical at all.  However, my surgeon insisted on three weeks.

I planned for 3 weeks out, went back at 2.5. Could have gone back earlier. I have a quasi sedentary, quasi physical job. But I had a ridiculously easy post-op/recovery period.

I had my surgery on 12/9/14. I was back to work on 12/15/14, although my position is a  sedentary position.

I was off for a week, but I work a rotating shift, so when I came back it was only for a day & then I was off for a few more days b4 I went on nights when the work is sometimes lighter so it wasn't a problem.

Has surgery on Monday. Back to work on Friday. I have a sit down work at home job. My brain wasn't ready. I should have taken two weeks.

I am a teacher and had my surgery on Dec. 8th. Took 2 weeks off then it's 2 weeks off Christmas break. Glad I planned it that way. I feel 2 weeks is a must before one should go back to work.
