insision pictures?

Does anyone have pics of their insisions? I'm interested in what they look like right after surgery, healing and healed. Really any insision pics would be appreciated.

my husband's surgeon used glue to close them up, my surgeon will use steri strips. I'm very curious on whether this makes any difference in wound healing. My husband's healed quickly with barely any scar!

Everyone heals differently, so unfortunately I don't think the pics would really be of help. I will say this though, my surgeon informed me that they are against the glue, because the incisions tend to "weep" and if they close it up completely the blood and fluids have no where to go. They prefer staples to allow the incisions to "weep" any extra fluid. Thank goodness that they did too, because about 1 week after surgery, I had blood and fluid build up behind one of my incisions and I was able to pu**** out and really help it heal. If they would have used glue, it would have been stuck behind the skin. I was a slower healer and I am VERY pale, so I can still see my incisions pretty well at 2 1/2 months out, but I expect them to fade to where they are barely visible.

That's interesting. My aunt is a wound care nurse and she said she doesn't like the glue either, and prefers the steri strips. Glad my surgeon uses them!

My stitches were internal so I only had steri-strips on the top.  At 20 months out mine are barely detectable.

I had staples and they took those out the day I left the hospital(had surgery on Tues and went home Thurs) and applied steri strips.  My scars even at 9 months are barely visible.

They used steri-strips on me too.  At 5 months I can hardly see them.
