Hello friends!

I am 18 days post-op and in need of some advice. I realize between the vitamins and all the protein I'm taking in that constipation is going to happen. I'm also getting around 60 oz. of water in a day. I am currently taking Miralax and fiber daily and have yet to really "go" if ya know what I mean

I dropped 18lbs in the first 7 days and have been at a stand-still since. I'm bloated and uncomfortable. I just want to poop!

I would appreciate any ideas or advice. Thanks!

Daaammmmnnnnn that is a long time. You want to get on that pronto, because you absoltely don't want to deal with an impaction. Try colace.,e enema, anything to get moving. Call your doc to find out what the maximum amount is you can safely take.  Add fiber. Get walking. You are not losing weight because you are full of sh@t so to speak!

LOL thanks teach! I'm already at the max with Miralax and fiber. I guess it's time to bite the bullet and try an enema. Wish me luck :)

I have heard that the squatty potty works- it is not too expensive.

I have one! Under normal cir****tances, it works like a charm. I highly recommend getting one :)

I have a squatty potty, and I have to say that they are amazing!

Try a good ole glycerine suppository. It ain't glamorous, but it's effective.

Great idea! And a lot less "involved" than an enema. Thanks!

I had that issue, also. My dr. said enema or MOM. I chose mom and usually everything stays straight with Benefiber now.

After reading this thread, I went out and bought enemas (as a last resort). I bought a mineral oil enema... word of warning with this. Resulted in some embarrassing, oily leaks even two days afterwards!
