The best part about WLS for me! (pics)

Sure, wearing cute new clothes and getting compliments is nice, but the thing I like the most about post VSG life is how I feel and the healthy active lifestyle I am now able to lead. I think I could do anything I wanted to do if I set my mind to it.

My former (fat) self sat on the sidelines and watched. Now I join in! I'm 51 years old and I jump on trampolines, Zipline, hike Mountains at 10,000 feet, snorkel, kayak, do boot camp and I've even tried jogging intervals a time or two (and I am soooo not a runner!). I'm living life and it feels wonderful! Going to shop for a new bike next week and maybe a kayak too!

I hope this can be an encouragement to those yet to start the process or early on in the process. It really is all worth it!

Paula,

These pictures are such a wonderful representation of the way you have seized the opportunity your sleeve gave you, and amplified it beyond your initial wildest dreams !!! This is how to respect your tool, and protect your skinny.  I know you still measure and log, stay on top of calories and macros, and work your maintenance with the same drive and determination you demonstrated post VGS !  You are such an awesome role model !! Keep it up !!!

You are amazing!!  These pictures mean so much more than what size is on your clothing tags!

I went to a family reunion on the lake yesterday.  I used to sit next to the food and watch everyone else be active.  Yesterday I was swimming and even being carried around on people's shoulders "chicken fighting".  I was living life and part of everything.  And I enjoyed a small and tasty lunch as well.  How lucky am I??

I so want a new bike!  Can't afford it right now since hubby had to replace his truck this month, but it's next on the list!!

Thanks for sharing your positive attitude and inspiration!
