Today is my surgery day! I'm so nervous and excited all at the same time. I have waited for this moment for almost 4 years. How was everyone's pain afterwards?

As I recall, minimal.  Two days later, I drove over 800 miles home.

Good Luck darlin!!! You'll be fantastic!!! The only pain I had was gas pain when i woke up out of the anesthesia, but as soon as you possibly can, WALK! It went away right away after i was able to walk. And i only needed the tylenol 3 after i had a walked a few times during the day, i felt more sore than anything, but it was only like that the first and second day, then it went away.

When I first woke up everything hit me all at once but the nausea was what hit me the most. It was caused by the Dilaudid they were giving me for pain so I quit taking that and I was fine. Walk walk walk! Congrats!!!

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. My pain was minimal, but vommed when I could sip water and for three days after. Walk as much as possible. Let us know how things go.
