Hi Gwen and all,

Gwen, I'm so glad the consult was awesome.  I look forward to hearing the whole story.  It brings back pleasant memories of my own journey to a healthy weight.

My weight was down a bit this morning, and I'm flying high.  I'm so glad I was able to defeat the cravings and regain control.

Breakfast - my usual salmon - yum

Lunch - orange chicken

dinner - taco casserole

snack - nuts or a serving of philly cheese steak sloppy joes

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Carol

I'm so boring this week.... I am eating pretty much the same thing every day.  BUT this weekend is my wedding anniversary (6 years) and my husband decided to plan the whole weekend of activities and it's all a surprise!  I'm so excited about it and all I know is that he has some appointments lined up for me on Saturday and that we aren't gonna be home Saturday night so I have to pack an overnight bag.

This week can't end fast enough!!!  In the meantime, I'm eating my normal boring stuff because I plan to splurge this weekend.

B: Cottage cheese, two sausage patties and COFFEE

L: More chicken enchilada soup with cheese... i think i'm gonna freeze the rest

S: Pistachios, babybel cheese and probably a coffee

D: Probably a buffalo chicken salad from Which Wich.

Exercise: Gym with stepson.  Husband is traveling until Friday and I am so lazy this week and didn't do a dinner meal plan. Stepson loves Which Wich so he'll probably want that after the gym.

Happy Hump Day!

So glad your consult went well! Life is busy, and busier because of the move next week. Still have to finish packing, while trying to fit in about 87+ hours between this past Monday and next Wednesday - not including this weekend because I have a lot to do. Yikes! Feeling exhausted, but I assume its because of working longer days and such.

B 3 sausage links

trying to avoid snacks, but I have a yogurt or hummus and celery

L insides of a beef burrito and cheese

D hamburger cut up with cheese on top of coleslaw

S if needed since its a 12 hour day same as above

Liquids on track

Exercise, going pee every 20 minutes from drinking so much.

Yay for the great consult.  I was/am so happy with my PS results.  Even with a regain and now losing it again, I LOVE my body.  Having a flat stomach is something I never ever could have dreamed of.  I had no chance of my abs popping out before due to the extra skin, now it is just freaking awesome :)  I hope you are just as happy with your results.

Food -- this is tricky, my therapist is trying to get me to stop tracking.  I didn't track all weekend while I was at a conference and Disney.  I ate and drank and actually came home about 1.5 lbs down.  It is crazy.  Mindful eating might work, but it scares the heck out of me.  I'm meeting with a nutritionist again at the urging of my therapist.  I gotta figure out how to maintain -- I've been in a 35 year cycle of either gaining or losing weight.  I've never truly maintained a steady weight for more than a few months (without a 5  -10 lb swing).  So gonna work on that.

Until I meet with the nutritionist, my goal is to fuel my body relatively intuitively and try to avoid the very unhealthy foods that get me into trouble (deep fried!).

Flexible outline of my plan for the day:

B: fit frappe, coffee

L: leftover chinese

S: yogrt parfait & protein shake

D: chicken, veggies, maybe a starch

S: cottage cheesse & maybe cereal

E: crossfit

B: Oikos Triple Zero Yogurt Drink & Babybel Cheese (unimpressed with the yogurt drink, probably will let the kids have those)

L: Deli Turkey & String Cheese

D: Pork Tenderloin in the Instant Pot!

S: Premier Protein

E: 2.75 mile walk on lunch break!

Do tell about this Instant Pot. I have been reading about it, and I am so curious. Does it dry out the food if its cooked that quickly?? If you cook a roasted chicken in it, and it cooks in say 30 minutes, does it dry out?

Nope! Very same consistency, tenderness and moistness as the crock pot! Just in a very short time. You do add water/broth to cook in it.

Amazing! I am moving next week, and with working 2 jobs, time is limited, so this sounded amazing. I have read mixed reviews (mostly great ones), but some say that cooking times vary even with same meals being made, so its never consistent with the time it takes to cook something repetitive. Have you had any type of issues?
