What? You are a rockstar if you are posting more than you are eating on an all liquid pre-op diet! Damn! I'm 18 months Post-op and I don't think I could deal with just what's on your menu!

Tonight I'm hosting a birthday party for my niece's 3 yr old son. There will be cake and ice cream and junk food and I'm not sure I'm prepared to handle it. My resolve isn't quite as strong when I'm tired, and I'm starting to feel run down. It's been a physically exhausting few weeks. I might have to duck out and hide in my room for a while this evening. I'm planning to make meatloaf after lunch so I don't use the typical "I ran out of time to make dinner so I'll go grab a few pizzas" excuse.

Qotd: My typical problem for feeling off is exhaustion. My body needs to rest, even if I'm just relaxing. I often don't get enough sleep and it catches up to me. Sometimes I just need a whole day of doing nothing to recharge. It makes up for the last few weeks of non-stop all day on-the-go never ending chaos I deal with. I just turn this day into a full liquids day. I won't cook or heat up anything, the family is on their own. I drink protein shakes and water all day and I literally stay in bed and do absolutely nothing. Remember, it's okay to take care of yourself.

Coffee: Regular coffee with creamer (40, 0)

Breakfast: Protein waffle (139, 24)

Snack: Siggi's vanilla (100, 14)

Lunch: Deli ham roll (120, 20)

Snack:  Premier Protein, Chocolate (160, 30)

Dinner: Meatloaf (439, 24)

Protein Shakes:

Calories: 998 Protein: 112 Carbs: 44

Try to remember that if you aren't feeling well adding poor food choices to your body will only make you feel worse.  Think of all those bad snacks as torpedoes aimed at your health. Avoid them to stay healthy!

Good luck!

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

So sorry you aren't feeling so great, Daisy and aren't sleeping.  I take 3 mg. of Melatonin at night to help me sleep and it seems to really help me get to sleep plus it's natural.  Maybe that might help you?

Those egg bites look delicious, Daisy, can you share the recipe, please?

QOTD:  When I'm feeling "off" I sleep more or meditate.  I learned TM meditation when I was a teenager and use it, or guided meditation, to relax and feel better.

B:  bacon & spinach egg frittata

L:  lettuce, chicken, cheese, nuts, low cal dressing

D:  chili cheese dog

S:  Light n Fit Greek yogurt

S:  roast beef roll-ups with cream cheese

Exercise:  Walking Blossom around the neighborhood

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I don't mind at all, Kelly, how kind of you to ask!  It went very well.  My surgeon is pleased with my progress and said my labs look good.  He said to keep exercising and to come back in 6 months.  My surgeon is moving to Tennessee but I will see his Physician's Assistant from now on.  Six hours of driving is a LOT of driving for a 5 minute appointment, though.  LOL!
