week 2 + 1 day 800 calorie days?
Am i doing something wrong. I am physically hungry every three hours. While I don't eat more than 4 oz except yogurt i can easily get down 5 oz I am totaling between 600-800 cal a day right now and just like pre surgery when i get hungry i want to eat anything i can and start craving sweets. Advice?
At 2 weeks i think i was eating a little more than 1/3 cp. I try not to eat more than 4 ounces at a time now at nearly 4 weeks. Dense protein, I can only eat about 2 ounces a setting. I could probably eat more, but I keep it mainly 1/2 cup every 2.5 hours, and I eat 5-6 times a day. I drink my fluids in between. Has been working pretty well for me.

Wow Dawn you are doing amazing! I think i went off the deep end a little with poor eating choices as far as food quality goes. I am having a hard time finding things i like to eat that aren't premade like the whole foods tuna and chicken salads. Also had potatoes a few times this week and i know those should be a no no. I haven't lost a pound in 4-5 days and was getting worried. But still not even eating 1000 calories you'd think iwould lose something right?
Thanks Roseygirl. I use my crockpot a lot. If you don't have one, think about getting one. I do most of my crockpot cooking over the weekend. When everything is finished cooking, I measure out 1/2 cup or 2-4 ounce portions (depending on what I made), and I put the portions in the 4 ounce glad containers with lids, or snack sized ziploc bags. Then I put all the bags and containers in the freezer. During the week, I take out and put in the frige, what I am going to eat tomorrow, and I put it in My Fitness Pal.
Unfortunately for me, I like the same foods I liked before the surgery, so I have the misfortune of possibly eating carb laden stuff but I am soooo trying to stay the course. You can do this. If you are a carb craver like me, you may want to eat less of them. I haven't eaten pasta, rice, potato or breads since last December. But that is just me. Many people eat these things in moderation and they still have great weight losses. But I am addicted to them like a drug, so I had to go cold turkey.
Best of luck to you.

My understanding is that acid can mimic hunger, so make sure you're taking your PPI (usually this is prescribed for several weeks after surgery). Check with your surgeon.
Please be careful - just because you think you are able to eat more, you shouldn't. Your stomach is recovering and it not able to to give you correct signals right now, so don't go by how you feel. Stick with your surgeon's plan and measure your food carefully. I'm not sure about cravings this early on, but carbs can trigger cravings very easily so maybe keep an eye on those.
Good luck!
