Starting the gym tomorrow!!
Okay so I am starting at the gym tomorrow. I went by and renewed my fees for the gym today cost me $70 for two months. I am not allowed to use the weights for a few more weeks but can you all the cardio equipment. I am looking forward to it just not real pumped at this point, but know the more time I put in the better I will feel and the faster and more weight I will lose. Not to say my skin will shrink better also.
So here is my plan
Week one 5 days of walking 45 minutes and then 30 minutes on the elliptical.
Week two 5 days week Walking 1 hour and then 30 minutes on the elliptical.
Week three 6 days a week Walking 1 hour, 45 minutes elliptical, and 30 weight training
week four 6 days a week walking 1 hour, 1 hour elliptical, 45 weight training
This is the plan, oh yea by the way I am down to 388 pounds!!! WOOOHOOO
That sounds very ambitious! Good luck. Do you have a trainer to work with once you start weight training?
Remember to listen to your body.

I'd be more concerned about the elliptical with how far you are from surgery. It can get some torso twisting action which is something to be careful with right now! Just be safe.
When I started working out at the gym, I was walking a mile a day outside. I did that in about 30 minutes. When I started working out at the gym, I increased 5 minutes a day. The number one way that people injure themselves is by trying to do too much too soon with exercise. Exercise injury is the thing I dread most these days because it's such a setback. It can be so hard to get going again after you've been on the bench healing from an injury. And I've got almost 8 months of dedicated exercise under my belt at this point! You just don't want to try to do too much, too soon, and injure yourself right when you're starting to create all of these great new habits for yourself.

Get a hold of the book "Fitness Confidential" by Vinnie Tortorich. I recommend the audiobook if possible.
Judging your various posts, I think you'd benefit from the perspective he puts out. I might help motivate you and save you some frustration on the journey.
