Just wondering the amount of calories that people are intaking on a daily basic and still losing weight. My nutritionist is stating I should be getting a minimum of 1200 calories daily as I am 4 years out but I'm not losing on that amount. Also wondering for those of you that take a ppl how often and what dosage are you taking. Right now I'm on Prevacid 30 mg morning and night but I find my reflux is giving me a fake hunger signal and I'm unable to see my doctor right now. I know it's really a doctor realated question but have any of you just uped your dosage for a few days or a week and noticed a difference.

Thanks.

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't.  Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened.  My Surgery was September 21/2010

My plan doesn't advocate that I track calories, so I don't.  I eat three meals a day (one of which is a shake) and keep the solid ones at 4 ounces.  My plan says that, over time, I can increase up to 8 ounces, but I can't see that happening any time soon.  I eat protein forward, healthy fats, limit the processed and refined carbs, and avoid liquid calories aside from my shake each day.  I'll stick to this plan until I reach my goal and then, if I'm still losing, I'll add another small meal to my day.

I only took a PPI for the first few months after surgery and then a random 2 week period a few months ago.  I haven't needed to take one regularly.  Your reflux could be due to a hernia, so it might be worthwhile to get that checked out.

I wonder if ...if you had a bite of solid, dense protein right after taking it...if that would quell the issue?

I am about 6 weeks out and get a little over 800 calories daily. My NUT doesn't count calories though, she requires 3 meals, 2-3 snacks per day and 80+ grams of protein. I personally am trying to keep my calories around 800.
