Is Paleo eating style possible after some length of time post surgery??
I don't think they are off limits forever, they are a good fat. I wouldn't sit and eat an entire avocado for dinner.. but I wouldn't think a few slices after eating the protein would hurt. From the different food blogs I have seen, most seem to follow Paleo way of eating.
I use a lot of paleo recipes in my cooking. I do eat dairy and beans, so clearly I'm not actually paleo. There's no reason we need to avoid fat after being sleeved - I keep lots of healthy fats in my diet and don't use low-fat anything.
Paleo is a great way of eating. :)

that is one of the beauties of the vsg you can eat anything you want without getting sick , but you need to eat good food the fats need to be good fats like olive oil, fish opil ect , the carbs need to be whole grains or fruit , but you need you protien first then limit the other food
Paleo is great if you want to eat that way. Me, I like dairy too much! I do eat a High protein, moderate fat and low carb way. Currently back in WL mode I stick to 40-60 grams of carbs per day. My personal carb tolerance when I'm maintaining a healthy weight and eating style is about 100-150 carbs per day. I do better when I stick to a lower carb level, so right around 100 is best for me.
Basic VSG rules for maintenance are the same as for weight loss. Just add more healthy fats and proteins and a few whole low glycemic index carbs as your body tolerates - the carb level is different for everyone.
