NSV with a slap

After telling my sisters-in-law about my slip falling to my ankles while I was running through a busy lobby to a meeting, my teenaged niece asked, "What is a slip?"

What a slap in the face to this old woman to know that young women today (pointing and shaking my finger) don't even know what a slip is, let alone own one... unless my niece is unusual but I fear she is not.

I remember as a teenager squeezing myself into a girdle and a slip and nylons, and I was skinny then! The teenagers today seem to understand what "comfortable" means. Well, except for all those piercings and tattoos. I guess each generation chooses its own discomforts.

LOL!!! "No one wears slips anymore", I remember the day I told my Mom that! She had the MOST horrified look on her face! Bwahaha! It was priceless!
