Hey all,

I have been posting off and on at OH for years now (much more off than on).  I decided that it is time that I deal with WLS.  I'm in my early 40s, BMI of 50+ with most of the common issues: hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea.

I have my surgeon/psych/internist consult tomorrow.  Assuming everything goes well, I'm likely looking at 6-8 weeks for surgery, if not a bit sooner.

Just wanted to say hello and provide a brief introduction.

Welcome and best wishes for a great result.  It felt like it took forever to get to the surgery, but I'm really glad I did.  I also had a bmi of over 50, diabetes, boarderline hypertension, elevated liver enzymes, issues with being active, arthritis...and I'm in my early 40's.  I'm 4 months post op, just had lab work done.  My blood pressure was healthy, my sugars, cholesterol - everything was in the normal range.  And I've lost 78 pounds in total, 60 since surgery.

I hope you have the same healthy results.  stick to it.  good luck.
