OK you consistent losers out there! Can you please sound off with how many grams you eat daily and how many total calories you're averaging daily? Also what does it consist of? Is it animal protein, shakes, veggie protein, dairy?

thanks,

p

When I was losing a lot of weight (it's real slow now) I was, and still do, get between 70-100 gms of Protein.  Always less than 30 carbs.  And between 600-900 calories.  MOST of my protein comes from meat, eggs, and cheese.  I still don't do veggies at all.  Just no room for them.  Plus, I was NEVER a big veggie eater anyway.

When I was in the weight loss phase, I focused on getting 80 grams of protein daily. I stopped eating when I hit that number, which usually took me to about 600 calories. I ate animal protein, supplemented with one basic shake.

I usually eat between 70-90 grams of protein daily. My source of protein comes from mostly fish, beef, chicken, and cheese. I do occasionally have a 30 gram protein shake when in a hurry and don't have time to make breakfast. I eat between 4-5 oz including vegetables. My nutritionist is not concerned about calories, but myfitnesspal tells me I'm eating between 800-1,000 calories daily.

The most common recommendation I see here for the weight-loss phase is 600 - 800 cal, 60 - 80+ g protein, under 40g carbs. The more you can get from non-liquid sources, the better!

I eat between 70-90 grams of protein daily.  1/2 premier protein in morning 1/2 in the evening. The rest of my protein is in 3 meals 3 oz fish or chicken. Breakfast lunch and dinner.  I have some green vegetables with lunch and dinner, about 1 oz. I only take in carbs from my vegetables. So very limited average about 600-700 calories a day.

When I was losing, I was getting at least 150 grams of protein every day. If it wasn't almost all protein, I didn't eat it. I never had a week where I didn't lose.

in loss phase and now i average at best 60 grams a day - never had a problem and nutritionist said if i had enough energy it was ok for me - I am barely 5' tall.  i never really was worried about carbs and ate them (but healthy ones) - still have trouble digesting veggies that aren't well cooked - they just sit in my stomach and don't digest - not sure why

Have lost 94 lbs in 4 1/2 months.  I have one premier protein shake in morning because I hate breakfast.  Then I eat animal  protein for two more meals, averaging 85-100 protein per day. I usually have a couple ounces of mixed greens with my protein at lunch, and something green (like 2 broccoli flowerets) at dinner.  My calories range between 600-900.  My water is over 70 a day.  I walk at least 3 miles 7 days a week.  And I hit ONEDERLAND TODAY!!  195lbs.  60-65 to go
