How long did you wait to buy new... Ahem, Undergarments.

Fortunately I am down over 20 lbs since surgery 3 weeks ago, awesome!  However, it seems to have hit me right in the boobs, (sorry guys). Lol. I think it's time for a new tighter bra, but I don't want to go buy one size down,  then next month,  one size down. It seems wasteful. What did you ladies do and when. Sports bras are uncomfortable right now for me and I don't like how they look under work shirts.

I tried to economize and stay in the bigger ones until friends told me that my "chest had dropped".  Get fitted, even if you have to wash one out every night for while.

I have found some low priced high quality bras at stores like "ROSS".     I had to give in and buy bras.   For me a well fitting bra in my mind makes me look so much better and I even feel better physically.   So, I just have one nude color one and one black one...not investing in loads of options...

I second Ross, especially while you're losing quickly! They're a great place to find shapewear, too, I always buy my compression camis there since they're at least half the price of Target or anywhere else.

I was in same boat.  I've change now for the third time but would rather invest in 2 good bras and wash, than get cheap one s.

Ive lost major volume but good bras go a long way.

Sooner rather than later... especially with your undies.  I've told this story before.  I was wearing underwear that were many sizes too big during my rapid weight loss phase and was too cheap to buy new undies until I reached a weight closer to goal.  I also would wear a lot of skirts and dresses because I could belt them and wear them longer.

Well... there I was.... I was walking through Walmart in my pretty skirt and my too baggy undies, when my undies dropped to  my ankles.  I quietly stepped out of them and stuffed them into my purse, looking around me to see if anyone was looking.   I walked rapidly to the undergarments section and picked out a package of underwear in the proper size, went through the checkout, and then straight to the bathroom to remedy the situation.

Moral of the story... get undies that fit and save future embarrassment!!

I got hit in the chest first.  I was like, couldn't you aim lower down fat loss? Ha.

I just buy $12 Just My Size bras.  They don't look awful under work shirts.  I miss underwire bras, but the ones I prefer are easily $50 each.  Waiting until the 200s to resume their purchase again.  I just have two and wash them nightly by hand and hang to dry.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
