OMG- YESTERDAY WAS MY FIRST DAY ON MY 7 DAY LIQUID DIET. I DID OK WHILE I WAS AT WORK, MEANING I DIDNT GET TO HUNGRY. ONCE I GOT HOME I STARTED TO FEEL HUNGER PAINS SOMETHING FIERCE.  I PANICKED AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I GRABBED A GLASS OF WATER AND JELLO AND ATE THAT. I WAS STILL HUNGRY SO I HAD ANOTHER PROTEIN SHAKE. I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE OF HUNGER.  I HOPE TODAY IS BETTER.

The liquid diet sucks.  That's all there is to it.  The first 3-4 days are the worst and then it tends to get better, if boring.  Try to stay focused on your goals - you can do this.

I did the liquid diet for three weeks because I was worried I'd have trouble transitioning and wanted some margin of error.  It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, make no mistake.  Having said that, it is definitely doable. :)  Sugar free popsicles help somewhat if allowed, as you can "eat" them but they count as a liquid.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
