Mixed Phone Calls

Feb 27, 2015

I received a phone call from my PCP. The first call said my tests came back normal. The second call said that my urine test came back normal but that they haven't received my blood work yet for my sugar test. Hmmm so who is right? I guess I will find out Monday what's going on. Was it just a screw up on their part or do they not have the blood work back yet?

As for my Bipolar meds, I'm stuck on these meds until they can get me a bed in the hospital because on of the withdraw symptoms of being off of the one medication I'm on is possible seizures. I've never had a seizure in my life and would rather not start now. Ugh but I'm hoping that when they change my meds i will be going to something with much less severe withdraw in case this is something I go through again. I researched some medications and have three that I'm going to suggest to the physician.  One of which I have tried before. Whichever they choose for me I just hope it works. The reason there are only three is because these are the only ones that do not cause weight gain along with dozens of other unpleasant side effects. You can't have a good quality of life if the side effects of your medications are worse than the disease or make the disease worse to bear.

The scale hates me these days. It's climbing up. I'm not eating any more than I was and yet the scale keeps moving up. In the past week I have gone from 192-199. You tell me how someone can gain this much weight in such a short amount of time. I would have had to not have the surgery and eat all day every day for a week to gain that much weight. It's frustrating. I did find some excellent recipes on sparkspeople. I made a ground meat and macaroni and cheese casserole as well as a broccoli and cauliflower bake. Yum they both turned out excellent and for a normal size serving they were each under 120 calories. I ate about 1/3 of a serving of each last night for dinner and was more than satisfied.
