I struggle at times eating slow enough.  I now use chopsticks!  Eating has become more of an event and I'm becoming more proficient at using chopsticks!

Silly, but it is working!

I've lost 50lb, since I started the VSG process.  I have 107 lbs to go.  Today, I was at a wedding and two different people told be I was beautiful. I was floored.   I can't remember the last time anyone said anything so nice.  I'm still walking on clo

I'm 7 weeks post op.  Prior to surgery, we did all the research and took 2 years to make the final decision to proceed.  I really felt I knew what to expect.  I have not felt well since the surgery.  I can't get the amounts of fluids and proteins down.

I don't mean can I ever take big bites and eat a big mac.  I mean, does eating small bites slowly feel ok?  Tomorrow will begin my 6th week post op and every time I eat, I get this bubble sensation that feels like nausea but isn't.  Does it ever go awa

I'm 242.5 as of today.  It's day 25 and I've only lost 12.5 lbs and I'm following all the rules.  I keep reading others lose 20lbs-30lbs the first 3-4 weeks.  I'm very upset, and I'm afraid that this isn't going to work and I've done so much to my body

When I look at or smell food, even food I love, I'm automatically having a physical response like I can't stand the food.  My stomach flips, nostrils close down and throat tightens.  I force a bite and it's fine, until the next bite.  Eating is becomin
