I had a revision RNY on October 15, when I eat, I get deep, sharp pains under my sternum through to my back. Has anyone had that happen? It hasn't been unbearable. I know to go to doc or ER if it does. I am just wondering if this is normal healing.

Has anyone had their barium swallow show severe reflux? I went to my surgeon today, he says I need the GB based upon this test alone.

I was sleeved on 8/17/16, and I only lost about 35 lbs. My current BMI is 30. I have had severe reflux ever since surgery. I had a recent barium swallow that showed severe gastric reflux. My surgeon wouldn't do anything about it bc I have horrible adhe

Does anyone use Tums or Rolaids daily for calcium supplementation?

MammaKathy posted a discussion topic 7 years, 10 months ago

I have seen several posts where people have had their doctor tell them that the RNY is better for diabetics. Why? :)

Just curious, how often this happens? What was your recovery like? Why did it end up open?

Thanks!

Did anyone have severe GERD (Indigestion) prior to your VSG? I know it is contraindicated sometimes for the VSG bc it can get worse with the VSG. I have pretty severe GERD, but really don't want the RNY.

Have anyone you had GERD pre V

I am just starting on this journey. I had a ton of labs drawn this morning. I am also an RN, and was able to access my results. My vitamin D level is only 12. I guess that is why I have had so much low back pain, pain in legs especially when walking, e
