Had my one year anniversary since surgery this week. Not were I want to be yet but am doing everything I can. I am exercising regularly and feeling better than I have since the 90's. a truly great feeling for a change.

No pun intended but anyone else having problems with their ticker? Tried to update my ticker with new weight and it wont show as uppdated in the signature now? Done this dozens of times in the past but seems not to display since this sites new changes?

Just a week short of 5 months out now. Found myself obsessing about food many times a day the last 2 weeks. Crazy thoughts that are frankly very much the same as before I started this journey. Still watching the program closely but this obsessive think

MY NUT told be to stop protein shakes this week. NUT thought I had discontinued it a month ago when solids phase went into place? I am 9 weeks post OP BTW.

Frankly wanted to continue the shakes as dense proteins are still a challenge for me? No

My son got me on a Fit Bit (wearable technology).

Cool device. Model I got (there are lots of models) is a Fitbit Surge HR. HR standing for heart rate.

Maybe small to some but not to me. Broke into the 320's today. My lowest weight in 15 years!!

Still a very long journey ahead. Next milestone to get past (in my mind) is 280lbs? That was my weight when I met my wife and started a family.....som

Intersting article i just found. Doctor that had a VSG done on himself.

Been 5 weeks since vsg. No problems at all with surgery.

Tired more than normal the last week and joints are sore sometimes?

Diet has no changes and taking supplements as always.

24 days out. Past all post op restrictions.

Tried a small amount of chicken breast tonight. Chewed thoroughly and ate slowly. Came back up 5 minutes later…partially. Not a great experience. No other foods have done that to date?

1 week Post OP today. Diet allowed solid food this morning. Had some scrambled eggs. Wow. I was stuffed full after 1/3 of a normal serving of scrambled eggs. Couldn't eat another bite.

Nice to have solid food but certainly has to be very small

feeling great. Very little pain now and lots of energy. Already bored of a liquid diet. argh!!!

Just got released after my veg Monday.

Had lots of trouble with gas build up.  Much improved today however. 

Much more pain than the incisions.caused.

Just started on liquid foods. Was on water only.

9 days until surgery.

Religiously on Pre-op diet. Have lost 26 pounds over the last month. Oddly enough not a single pound off this week? Hopefully drop a few more lbs soon? Odd that nothing came off this week I think?
