It's been years since I posted so here is an upate.

I gained all my weight back plus some. I have insurance but I can't jump through the hoops they may require to get surgery here in the U.S. So I want to get it in Mexico.

I recently made a huge change in my life towards the goal of getting surgery in Mexico. I moved from Arizona to Texas to live with my mom. I will be able to save enough money to get the surgery in Mexico in about 8 months. The Dr. I am interested in, Dr. Ariel Ortiz, has great reviews. I want the gastric bypass and not the sleeve because the bypass restricts AND malabsobs which I think because of my morbid obesity, I need both. But I called Dr. Ortiz office today and they said he only does the sleeve, he doesn't do gastric bypass. I don't know if I should look for another dr in mexico or just get the sleeve. I weigh about 315 pounds now, the most I've ever weighed. I had gall bladder removal surgery this past April. For the first time in a long time I am feeling happy and hopeful.
