Hi gang. Just a normal day here, but it looks like it should be a nice one. I've done my rowing, but food is up in the air. I'm off in a few to assemble the last couple of swiveling patio chairs, then I have a mountain of cardboard to bring to the recycling depot.

And now I have a cat on my lap, and can't leave.

QOTD: I just use what came on my phone. WTF looks interesting though. Maybe I'll give it a try.

QOTD- Grumpy Weather (it's accurate and who doesn't love Grumpy Cat?) and the Weather Channel.

Yesterday I filed for Social Security, I won't get it until October but I'm thrilled. I stated the app on 4/29 but found out you can only go out 4 months which put me in August a month short. So I called. Call number 1) 45 minutes on hold and then I was dropped. Call number 2) 1:45 minutes and no real resolution other than since you haven't submitted the application yet you should be OK. Well it did turn out OK. For me I won't be able to retire but with the extra money I should be able to pay down my bills so maybe someday I can actually quit working.

Still struggling with the new program at work, trying to not let it drive me crazy. I also have to figure out some budget issues on one of my older jobs. I'll try to do that this morning. Then I get my nails done this afternoon. That's all I have for today.

Until you reach age 67, you have to keep your work earnings down to around $23,000 a year. Else social security takes 50% of the amount you earn over that cap.

Julia might be at full retirement age because she was born before 1960. I think she would not quite have to wait until 67.

You are right. I was thinking Julia was about 64. Those years go by so quickly any more.

G'morning all!

Aaah, the candy dish. One of the few things I miss not working at an office. There was a time that the CEO's admin had a bowl of york patties at her desk. You can bet I used every excuse to go by at least 3-4 times a day to take 1-2 patties. You would think why not buy a Costco jar and keep it at your desk? But that means admitting my addiction, while this way I could blame somebody else for my eating the chocolate. Ah, the good ol'days!

Beautiful sunny and crisp day today. I might take my laptop and work on the deck enjoying the sun and the quiet house.

QOTD: I use the WTF weather app for comic relief and the one coming with phone for regular weather info. I don't know if it's just me or most people do this but I have the weather for us, San Diego (for DS), DC (for DD), Pisa (mom and bro) and Cardiff (my sister). It gives me a sense of I know what's going on with them if I can follow their weather. Weird?
