We are NOT invincible!
LOL, Both! My jeans are getting tight, and I just feel bad again. I noticed that I just didn't have the same energy that I have had the past couple of years, and standing in the kitchen a couple nights ago fixing myself some pasta at 10pm, and thinking to myself that I am not even hungry! WTF! I have go to back to the basics...
Thank you for this post. Today is the new day of hope and opportunity for us all. I'm rooting for you. Let's all work hard!

Having lost significant weight in the past and gaining it back because I thought I was invincible is a lesson I've learned and hopefully not forget. I look at WLS as a tool, and the healthy lifestyle changes that I have made will be forever if I want to reach my goals, and stay there.
Glad you posted this topic. For those who know it your story is a reminder that we cannot forget this, and those who don't it is a good example of what will happen if you don't implement these changes forever.
Good luck! You did it before, know what to do, now you just need to do it!
Alan, I am happy to see you post here. You got that right about not being invincible!
A lot of people on here know about my regain. I am in the same boat as you. I gained a whopping 30 pounds over the last 9 months. I am struggling to get it off. I've gotten about 12 pounds off. I severely suffer from falling off the wagon with even just the teeniest derailment.
I see so many VSGers their first year who say "I got this" or, "100 pounds gone for-ever". I believed it too at 1 time. Not to sound negative but I believe the chances of regain is more common than we want to believe. Maybe we don't have to gain all our weight back but some of it. I heard that 20 pounds is common and looky here! That is closer to where I am now.
I am still happy I had surgery and yes our tool still works but it's not as restrictive as before so just like Alison stated, it's more of a challenge as we all enter our 2nd year when our sleeve is at it's mature size. But also like Alison says, a lot of us are driven to fight our regain after WLS than without it because we didn't resort to surgery for nothing. I'm gonna be fighting forever (sigh...) but that's ok.
Hope you are doing well otherwise and let's all stay in this fight!
