The pre-op diet is very important for you to do. The reason your doctor wants you to be on this diet is to shrink your LIVER. Your liver sits over part of your stomach, in order to avoid any damage to the liver or other organs when the surgery is performed.
It’s better to be safe than sorry. I would follow your doctors orders. We all have to go through the pre-op diet, some two days some two weeks, every doctor suggest different ways.
If your liver is too big your surgery could be cancelled.
I know it’s not easy, I did my for two whole weeks, but I thank God I had no complication during surgery. After surgery you’ll still be on a shake and water diet for a week or two, so it’s best to adjust to the new way of eating.
So stay on your pre-op diet and you’ll do just fine.
Time will go by so fast, that before you know it you’ll be in the operating room.

Praying for the best for you.
