Keep in mind that people usually tend to post about what they have problems with, not a lack of problems. There are tons of us who go through pre-surgery and post-surgery with no complications, side effects, headaches, emotional breakdowns, etc. We just don't talk about it as much as the people who need information and support for specific issues, and understandably so. So my advice is, I guess, something along the lines of don't borrow trouble, or don't look a gift horse in the mouth

Oh, I'm definitely not complaining about the lack of issues LOL I just don't want to be riding along thinking it's going to stay this way and then find out it won't hit till day 4 or 5 or something. But Right now I'm loving it!

I didn't really have issues with the pre-op diet, but I'd started changing my lifestyle 2 months before and I wasn't addicted to caffeine.  So I'm sure that made it all easier.

Yes, the change beforehand certainly could have helped. Unfortunately I was addicted to caffeine until about 2 months or so ago. I'd get horrible headaches if I didn't have either coffee or soda after a day or two. I weaned myself off of it slowly and I think that may be a contributing factor to my lack of headache now.

I always thought that most of the people who had crazy headaches were impacted more by caffein withdrawal than anything else.  I never had any headaches, and didn't even really have any serious hunger issues when I was doing the pre-op diet (3 weeks) but I also hate coffee and am not much of a soda drinker, so I'm not hooked on caffein like many people are.  If you don't have anything by now, I would imagine you're in the clear. yay!
