Am I eating too much?

I do think we all handle our food so differently with our new tummy's. I almost wish I could eat a little more in a sitting. And, if you are making 4 oz. and not eating it all, that is probably a huge accomplishment in itself. Before surgery, once I made my meal and put it on my plate, I ate it. Regardless if I was full or not. So, walking away from part of your prepared food, is big. Good job.

This "go with what feels right" advice is sketchy.  It sure did feel right when I was eating a double meat double cheeseburger with bacon six months ago, oh...and add the chocolate shake and a large order of fries and sharing some onion rings with my husband.  Sure, it felt right, but it wasn't!  Good for you on getting on OH and asking these questions!!!!

I don't think so. I think 3-4 oz is about right. I'm 6 months out and on my main meals, I eat 3-4 oz protein, and a few bites of veggies... Etc. There are days that I easily eat this and other days, I can't.
