Almost 5 years out. Started at 327. Lowest was 175. I'm 3 weeks out from having 17 pounds of skin removed from my belly. I'm at 196.

I'll be 5 years out from RNY in September. Like Dana, I had a small bump up of 10 pounds at the two year mark, but lost it and have maintained my goal weight of 140 since then.

I am three years out.  I started at 254 got down to 133 but now I am back at 185 and NOT HAPPY so I am totally with you.  I also only blame myself because of different situations in my life soon after my surgery I started smoking again.  However, last January I quit for GOOD not one smoke in almost 7 months BUT man weight is another issue.  So I am also going back to the basics.  I am really happy at 150 not above that mark though.  If anyone wants to be a 'weight loss buddy" with me I would be thrilled.

I wonder, why is it I can eat the same exact portions now as before WLS? No restrictions, no malabsorption (which I figured) but I don't feel like I have a pouch I feel like I have my regular stomach back.  How come?

I got down to 117 in 2009 but have gained back up to 137 and am having trouble losing it, hence my return to the forums. no Hoping to get motivated and "back on track."  Good luck to you (and me, lol.)
