Seriously though...I can only imagine how stressful it is for you right now. 

You had a handful of chips and then you realized what had happened and you stopped. You caught yourself. I commend you for that. 

Lately, I have to be really careful about mindless snacking in the afternoon. It's boredom for me that feeds the desire to snack. I did it pre-op too. I have to come up with all sorts of activities to combat it. Some days are harder than others.

Old habits do die hard I'm afraid.  I have stress ate and boredom ate for a long time.... hence what got me to the pre-op life.  Mindless eating is hard to conquer, but it's a DAY TO DAY conscious effort and in some cases... minute by minute.  In any case, I know I am not alone in this struggle.  It's not just a diet I am changing... it's a whole lot of things at once. 

Still worth the struggle, I'm sure.
