Worried... Sleep consult did not go as planned!

That really sucks that your sleep issues went undiagnosed for so long. Poor sleep is almost certainly a factor in your weight issues and better sleep will help you so much. My sleep doc also said the same thing about me--small mouth, big tongue. I used my CPAP religiously (even brought it on a cruise!) before surgery and the difference was incredible. I don't use it anymore and my husband says I don't snore anymore. I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go. 

If you have to delay your surgery a little, that's okay. Give yourself time to get used to your machine and experience life as a rested person. :D

Is there anything surgically that can be done in your mouth to correct this? My daughter has had many surgeries in her mouth due to her cleft palate. Whenever anything is done, her tongue and sleeping has always been a part of her surgeon's plan.
