I worry about this, too.

Apparently too many people think they know more than their doctors about everything. We see this in the many "I never got to goal and don't know why" or "I have regained and don't know why" posts. Gee, it's such a mystery 

Or you can just say , I am not a Dr but this has been "MY experience" and let the adult on the other end make their own decisions.

Sheesh.

I was hardcore regretting doing this surgery - woke up from my surgery, pure fear running through my veins: "What the hell did I do?!? What the hell did I do!?" Those feelings are already passing, thank God. And I am so thankful for this forum!!

It wouldn't be worth the risk to me, climbing into a vat of bacteria-laden water , swirling around my incisions, pushing who-knows-what bacteria into them. But hey, maybe I am cautious from having worked for a herd of infectious disease doctors and seeing the consequence of pernicious post-op infections, even in people who scrupulously followed doctors' orders.

ACK - this is something I would never ever do after having surgery. I've had a TON of surgeries because of breast cancer and baths are one of those things that are a major no no until after the incisions are healed. Yes you are an adult but I'm guessing not a surgeon? Me niether - which is why I listened to my surgeon and didn't disregard his instructions. I did get an infection after one of my multiple surgeries and it cost me majorly. It was one of my first surgeries and I learned my lesson. My implant got infected and had to be removed. 

It completely screwed me over and I was in danged of not getting chemo. I know this isn't the same thing but an infection is not to be taken lightly. 

I see you've already taken the bath and you said everything went fine. I'm glad but be careful about listening to what the surgeon or doctor says. Most of their rules are there for a reason.
