Thank you. I have been to one appt. with physiatrist with yet another MRI pending.  How is fibromyalgia diagnosed?  Blood work or other means?  Thank you for sharing info!

Fibromyalgia is diagnosed through symptoms. If you "meet" a certain number of a list of symptoms then it's a good chance that you have fibromyalgia. The diagnosis is done through a physical examination by the doctor. There have been studies on fibromyalgia but no one really knows that much about it still. Mine stems from a car accident in 1993 and I was finally diagnosed in 2003 after years of doctors telling me it's in my head and all I wanted was drugs, even though the drugs didn't work or even give me the slightest buzz including morphine.
