Hope all went well!

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Hello everyone thanks for your kind wishes. Surgery did not go as planned and I was unable to get rny. But they worked for 4 hours and I was able to get a sleeve. I am so thankful. I also had a reaction to anesthetic and it took 4 hours for me to wake up but other than those small hurdles I am recovering.  I am unable to walk on my own today so I still need assistance to get to the bathroom. Once again thank you to everyone and their well wishes and I look forward to replying to each and everyone of you once I feel better

Amanda, so glad to hear from you! I'm sorry to hear that the surgery was so complicated and I know the VSG wasn't what you were expecting, but you have received a very powerful weight loss tool nonetheless! Speedy recovery!

So glad you're doing good, and that surgery went well!! just curious though, why weren't they able to do GB? just curious, I haven't heard of that happening before!

I had stomach surgery as a baby. My whole intestines are covered in scar tissue. Preventing them from doing rny. Thanks again for all the well wishes. I just got home and starting to feel a bit better.
