Surgery date

Wow! I was thinking about you today, wondering how it went. I'm so excited for you.

I am still waiting for my phone call. The dietician said you have to be off your diabetes medication before you start OptiFast. I asked the nurse about it before I left (in case I needed to see the doctor about it). She put a note on my file to check with the doctor. So, they held onto my file until this week. Who knows why it took two weeks, but St. Mike's should have it within a couple days, so I should get my appointment next week.

It's frustrating, but I do believe things happen the way they are meant to ... Besides, I can't have surgery until August 7th at the earliest because of work.

I will be thinking about you Tuesday.

Thanks for the warm thoughts. I was so overwhelmed when I found out the date today but it is starting to sink in and feels ok. I started the opti tonight. I got the vanilla which to me tastes like drinking vanilla cake mix. I hope you hear from st. Mikes soon. I was talking with another patient today and her appt is not till mid August. I will let you know how everything goes on Tuesday. You are absolutely right everything happens for a reason.

Congratulations, I imagine they had an opening due to a cancellation and you were lucky enough to be in the position to take advantage of it, I wouldn't of been able to do that as I had to give them adequate notice at work.

Congratulations!! That's so exciting. I got my date quickly as well. It feels frantic for a bit but it all works out amazingly well. You got this!!
