Topic: RE: Work after LBL?

I took six weeks off of my desk job and I could have used one more (I always seem to go back one week too soon). I found sitting upright quite uncomfortable, especially while wearing anything that constricted/pressed on my belly button. I couldn't have sat without my legs elevated that early out, either. I had a lot of lower body swelling I needed to manage.

It's a large surgery and you owe it to yourself to take as much time to fully recover as possible.

I'd say that's a really slim chance. They won't even have the money to replace me until I'm gone I'm guessing.

Is there a chance you'd be training your replacement that week?

So, I figured out that I have enough time off left for the year (year runs July - July) to take off 18 work days. Then I could come back for 1 week and then leave for the new job. Since they'll be paying me out on my time off anyway, it shouldn't really matter to them. But, they also require you to work your last week. I shouldn't need to focus much because I'll be on my way out, I guess?

While I don't have an actual job, I am a full time student. I planned my LBL to be two weeks before my summer term classes started. Class started on day 14 of recovery and I was barely able to complete my work that first week of class - with only one class - due to lack of ability to focus. So it was a brain fog issue vs. a physical issue for me. By day 21 of recovery, I was much better.

If you work a desk job, when did you return to work after your LBL? I'm having an LBL on 1/29 and work in a job where I can be pretty much 100% stationary if need be. I can technically take off as much time as I need, but there's a chance of a job change right after my LBL and limiting my time off to 3 weeks or less would make everything easier.

I am very interested in learning how to get medicade to pay for or even help pay for a tummy tuck. I would love to know how you did it.

Topic: RE: Tata talk...how big?, which shape? under the muscle?...oh my!

I just trusted my surgeon to make the correct decision on size. I told him I didn't want to be Playboy but just wanted something that fit my body and frame. I always thought it would end up being a C cup. He said he took a couple of different sizes in and put them in and then sat me up. I'm very happy with what he decided to go with. They are actually a D but don't look crazy. He did do under the muscle. When people see me they have no idea that they are implants as they have a very natural look and feel. I've even had some ex's that argue with me that they are real vs implants.
