Revision approved!
Fought with secondary insurance nearly 3 years to get approval. Yes, I gained back weight. I lost down to 151, and I was in the 230's when I decided to pursue a revision to the DS.

Yes you are all great! I am full of nervous anxiety and second thoughts but I think if it was not ment to be I would not have been approved so fast right?!
I knwo there are lists of what to bring to the hotel but what did you really need? How long did you stay in Ca before Dr. K wuld let you go home?
I know everyone is different but I was hoping to get home by Xmas.

My surgery was 12/29/11. I flew out of Alaska on the 2am flight 12/28. Met with DR for pre-op, then next door for pre-op tests. Off to hotel for night. Checked out next morning. In hospital 5 days, then back to hotel. Flew home like 4-5 days later.
I brought with: comfortable clothes, 5 tubes chapstick, comfy shoes, laptop.

Hey there,
First off congrats on your revision approval. I myself am trying to get revision myself after a botched Gastric Bypass I had in 2009. I first have to find a surgeon willing to take on my case. I have already visited with one revision specialist here in North Texas where I live and was told it couldn't be done. I am and have been sick ever since I had my first surgery. I really am grasping as straws as of what to do now. It definitely would be hard to travel all the way to CA for the surgery, but I can say this much that if its what I need to do i'll do it if its going to be the answer to my problems. Anyway, best of luck there!
Send your records to Dr. Stewart, he is in Texas, and does RNY to DS revsions.
I am NOT sure how "good" he (Dr. Stewart) is at fixing botched surgeries, but if you have trouble, keep Dr. Keshishian on the "back burner", as he THRIVES on hard cases!!!!
