Revision from VSG to RNY

I just had the revision surgery on 4-Aug and I am now 2 days post opt and feel pretty good so far. No complications to report. I'm not trying to focus on healing properly and getting my daily fluid intake in!!! This poor body has been through a lot this year and I plan on taking care of it and ensure I do my part from this point on:)

Please keep us updated as you move on to more solid protein and have you experienced any dumping?

I will. No dumping but I haven't had any sugar since surgery so I haven't consumed anything that would cause me to dump.

Thanks for the post. I was sleeved 3.5 years ago and it was working fine with the exception of the really bad reflux. I never wanted the bypass, but now am sure it is what I need, just waiting on insurance approval, hopefully this week. can you give an example of portion sizes per meal and how many times a day you eat?

I'm only 3 weeks out and still on purée/soft foods (o had tondo the whole diet progression over). I can eat 2-3 oz by weight and slightly less than 1/2 cup by volume. I eat 5-6 times a day and am averaging 650-750 calories a day.

Thanks for the info. Helps me put into perspective. I had a large sleeve so I could naturally eat more. I just got approval for my revision today. Hopefully I can get it scheduled soon

My gastric bypass is next Friday the 5th!! It is super quick and I'm a bit nervous, but will be glad to be done with reflux!!
