Zoloft and stomach pain

The only way I could take my zoloft was with milk. For me that is a lactose free milk since I can no longer have dairy after RNY. Good luck

I had the gastric sleeve 9/9/14 after being obese for 15 years.  Part of the problem with my gaining weight was starting SSRIs.  Over the span of time I have taken the drug, I went from average weight to MO.  Therefore the surgery.  I was hungry all the time.  What I wanted to state is thru the years I have taken: Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, and Lexapro.  There has not been a time where taking this med with an intact stomach did not burn my stomach.  When I first started taking the Prozac it was awful.  So drink a lot of water, take with milk, do what you have to do. Because IMHO all SSRIs can cause stomach upset.  With my sleeved stomach, I take my med with a bit of food.  Best of luck to you.
