Reflections on my before picture, long!
Very well said!! I think forgiving ourselves and appreciating how we got through life as an obese person give us inner peace. I think this is an important part of moving forward in our lives. It saddens me to hear some people talk about their disgust and embarrassment with themselves when they were obese. We cannot change the past. We can only move forward. That is hard to do when we are stuck in the past.
Congrats on your climb. When I was MO I tried to climb the Great Wall of China. I did not make it to the top. One day will take my kids back there and we will climb it together.

"May your choices reflect your hopes and not your fears."
Just a sec. Let me wipe away my tears.
Your post has touched me so much. Being MO we are all used to being told that we can't do something because we are too fat, or people starring at us when we enter a buffet restaurant. We tend to forget how incredible.we are and how strong we all are. All of us on OH have/are taking the biggest step of our lives. We are fighters and we will all join together and climb this mountain together. So to you my friend I thank you for reminding us all that we should embrace who we are/were and fight on.
