I am almost 4 months out and can't eat lettuce.  It just doesn't agree with me.

I can eat anything else without an issue but lettuce - no way!

My surgeon's plan doesn't allow raw vegetables until 3 months are up. We're supposed to wait 6 months for red meat--I'm getting pretty tired of chicken, fish & seafood but that salad I'm going to eat this weekend (with protein, of course) is going to taste darned fine :D

Lettuce was the LAST thing allowed back in....I think i finally tried it after about a year....but it's hard for me to chew after a jaw problem so I am still often on soft food because of that.  I was told to wait til 8-9 months out.

At six weeks my surgeon asked if I wanted salad, it was great, since the diet to that point was very boring.
