Welcome home!!! It is worth it! It's tough the first month - lots of mood swings and it feels like you will never be normal again. But you will! You will one day look back longingly at the time you could only eat 400 calories a day haha. Post here and read here and just get support here. Walk, do things you normally don't have time for, call friends. Welcome to the losers bench! Your life is about to change!

Good luck to you - I always say you can't get well in a hospital, you just get stabilized.  The real healing happens at home - you will barely remember you time in the hospital.

Welcome back.  Here's what some of us experienced those first few weeks hoping the information will help you:  1.  gas and either loose or bound stools  2.  WLS regrets or worry WLS wasn't performed correctly  3. mourning period re food including fear of eating  4.  emotional seeing food commercials or entering a grocery store/restaurant  5.  caring tension between family members adjusting to the new you  6. overwhelming gratitude to all who helped see you through WLS.  Please add your own experiences iHeartTeas or anyone else reading this...
