Going to see the surgeon this morning

I have been uncomfortable going to sleep and in the middle of the night. This is due to painful neck pains like a stiff neck but it got worse tuesday night. I called my PCP yesterday and I was instructed to call the surgeon because of my new operation. She actually made the call for me and the message was forwarded to Dr. Lee. She called me within 30 minutes because she was in a meeting.I explained to her that the neck and shoulder pains have increased since she last checked it in the hospital the day after surgery and that it causes me great pain in the middle of the night and I toss and turn and get relief a few hours later. She and I talked for about 15 minutes because she wanted exact details and she listened to every word I said. She said hmmm, you know the body structure is funny, she said the nerves in your stomach play a role with your neck and other places. It's a good chance the the drain could be aggrevating that point a bit and that is where your pain and stifness could be coming from.
She asked me to give her my measurement output for the past days and she said that's very little,asked about the color and how was I feeling about my stomach. i told her that I get a pain here and there and that might be once a day,no vomitting,headaches or high tempature(i take my temp 3 times a day). She looked in the book and asked me to come in this morning because she is going to run some test anyway and remove my umbilical cord and my trusty sidekick.(that my nickname for the drain).
Last night I had a little stiffness but no pains compared to the last 2 nights. I am so greatful to have a caring surgeon and that she did'nt have me to wait a couple of days to see her.
