Surgery - 8 days post op

Well, surgery was no joke, I don't remember most of the events leading up to it, but I do remember that I had a long stay in the hospital. I was only suppose to stay from the 1 July to the 4 July, but I ended up having to stay until the 6 July. I was miserable. I was prodded and pricked with needles as my veins are small. I had to have a blood transfusion 4 oz - because my red blood count was low. I was miserable. I am happy to be back home. I am in no pain, but just uncomfortable because I have a drain sticking out of me and a feeding tube. I will have the drain out on the 16 July and the feeding tube, taken out two weeks after that. I can't wait.I did measure myself before the operation, but I have yet to post it. My weight at surgery time was 230lbs. My weight this morning was 223lbs - that is a 7lbs weight loss - I'll take that.........lol....My prayers and encouragement goes out to all those waiting to be approved by their insurance, for those who are waiting on their surgery date and for all of us who are have started our journey and are continuing our journey.
