Hard to believe it has been 3 years since I posted here!  Lots happening in life, Bought a restaurant, left a relationship, had ups and downs, gained 50 pounds, pulled out the pouch rules, lost 30 pounds (so far!).  The one thing that has been on my mind that I want everyone to hear is that while I thought I had it all figured out when I was at goal 1 year post op in 2005, the BEST of us can still fall back into the old ways.  Old tapes played in my head, I lost my spirituality for a while and the pity party got me for a few years.  At 8 years post op, I am getting a little better every day at seeing a worthy and attractive person in the mirror.  The other thing is that the only way I can get better and stay that way is through my connection to others who are facing the same junk as I am.  We need to stick together and help each other and listen to the voice in our head that is telling us things that we would not think of on our own, that's our Higher Power giving us the push we need.  My journey has come full circle and I am again proud, grateful and excited that I got a second chance at everything, family, living, love.....
