Surgery Experience March 7th- March 12, 2010

 Hey ya'll!  Greetings from North Carolina!  My surgery on March 7th went well.  I held it together before being wheeled into surgery (helped along by some drugs! )  I was treated great in the hospital and left 24 hours later.  My doctor said I have the innards of an 18 year old!  (I'm 39).   Yippee!  Day 2 and 3 were hellish with awful gas pains.  I could not walk enough to relieve myself of the gas.  Then, Wednesday night, I had the first of about 15 toots and teared up on the first one!   I was sooooo relieved!   :)  After that I have gotten steadily better and have felt pretty good since Thursday.     Now I have got to figure out more things that I am allowed to eat.  I am meeting with a nutritionist on Monday and also have my one week post op appointment.  I will be having a very interesting and educational day.  I appreciate ya'll so much and am glad we are all in this together.  Love, Catherine
