HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!(well almost)

Well well well...its New Year's Eve and I'm sitting on my couch thinking about how different my 2012 is going to be and I'm super excited . Back in 2009 I was in the hospital for 9 days and they removed over 60 pounds of fluid from me. When I left the hospital I weighed 536 pounds and over the course of a few months I had gotten down to 517 pounds. So I bought a scale because I was gonna continue losing weight. Well that didn't happen and I bought a scale that weighed up to 550 lbs. A couple of months passed and I had fallen off the weight loss bandwagon and I decided to weigh. I stood on the scale and instead of numbers I got "ERROR". OH THE HORROR!!!! That meant that not only had I gained some weight back but I had gained and weighed MORE than 550 lbs. Talk about being depressed. I gave up and said forget I'm eating whatever I want. So fast forward to December 31st 2011. I'm 26 days post op and decided I would give my scale a try again. I have no expectations and I promised myself before having surgery that I would not become a victim of the scale but its just sitting there beckoning me to try it. So I stand on the scale and wait for the beep and I expect to look and see the word "ERROR" again and to my suprise I see numbers!!!!  546.6 lbs. Go Cheryl Go Cheryl Go Cheryl . I am so excited. My starting weight was 589, my surgery weight was 575 and my current weight is 546.6. I know that I have a ways to go on this journey and I understand I will have bumps in the road but knowing that I have this tool and the support of friends and family to be successful makes me feel like I've won the lottery....se ya on the losers bench... and Happy New Year!!!
