I'm APPROVED!

YES!!! I got my letter in the mail yesterday saying that I am approved! I knew I would be, my insurance is awesome as far as WLS goes, but still.... it just felt so fantastic to have a piece of paper in my hand saying its really going to happen. My surgeon requires you to do ALL the tests and hoop jumping before you get a date though. Warning:I'm going to whine for just a minute here.... JEEZ! It would be kind of nice to know when this thing's going to go down. I need to make arrangements for my kids and I need to give the parents of the kids I babysit plenty of notice. Grrrrr... frustrating!

Anyway, rant over. I did email my surgical coordinator and asked if she could give me a ballpark estimate and she says late Feb/early March. Whoopee! That really isn't too long from now.

I am still hanging in there with Atkins, but the scale isn't moving much. Even if I don't lose as much as I hoped, at least I can safely say that I have defeated the sugar devil! I do not crave carbs or sugar whatsoever now. Next lifestyle change: start drinking water! I don't know why this is so hard for me, but I will do it!
